Authorities say two suspects are in custody on suspicion of aggravated assault, kidnapping and strong-armed robbery after a home invasion in Tempe.

Police responded to the report of robbery about 5:40 p.m. Thursday.

They say the victim had been expecting a roofing repair company. He opened his apartment door and two men forced their way in by striking and shoving the victim to the ground and then began taking items from the home.

Police say the robbers forced the victim to walk with them to a convenience store ATM so they could withdraw cash and the released him.

The victim called police and they say 20-year-old Burtron Smith and 18-year-old Garret Jors were arrested.

Police didn't know Friday whether either Smith or Jors have legal representation yet.
